Where Renting is Cheapest in America

Posted in Travel  by tommygreene09 on April 30th, 2010

With the recent economic crisis many land lords have struggled to pass on their dominions to others. As a result, most would think that rent would start to rise in order to pay the bills and the landlord’s debt.

However, the opposite has proven to be true. Some of the areas that have struggled with selling prime rental locations have also provided some of the lowest rent to renters for various types of rental homes.

Statistics show that 29 of the nationwide markets have seen rising rates in rental vacancies. These 29 regions include some of the most sought after rental locations such as Las Vegas, Palm Beach, and Orange County.

Currently, there are at least 350,000 rental homes on the market throughout the nation. Many people who are trying to sell have decided to alter what they offer by transforming condos into rental units.

Rentals are an ideal option for many people who are currently unable to buy a home. The landlords also see altered rentals as an ideal solution to waiting out the financial crisis’ many are experiencing without having to pay for maintenance.

For those who are looking to rent there are some great deals available today because of the economic crisis. The first ideal place is in Wichita, Kansas.

In this location, renters can find a 600 square foot home with one bedroom and a large kitchen. The home is also equipped with a washer and dryer.

The total rent is only $470 per month. This number includes the fees for golf and country club participation.

This total also knocks off much of the price for a membership at the local fitness center and services at the tanning parlors. Wichita is also a fun, little town with some interesting history.

For example, the well-know ‘Dennis the Menace’ lived in this town. Pizza Hut also originated here with the first Pizza Hut situated on the Wichita State campus.

This pizza hut is an ideal place for students gather, study, and talk. Wichita also features about 250 days of sunshine every year.

Another ideal location is currently found in Oklahoma City. For only twenty dollars more than Wichita County per month, a renter can get a 900 square-foot home with a fantastic gym.

Oklahoma City is also one of the top cities featured for providing the cleanest air in America. This city is the home of the National Cowboy Hall of Fame and it is not uncommon to see real cowboys roam the outskirts of town.

A fun fact about Oklahoma City is that the mayor recently encouraged the 1 million people living in the city to lose one pound for a collection of a city 1 million pound weight loss. Oklahoma City has some great opportunities for those who move there.

The next bargain for renters is found in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Here renters can find a brand-new, 600 square foot one bedroom home with a duck pond for $520 per month.

This apartment is also situated near elegant golf parks and country clubs. Tulsa is home of one of the largest pizza/amusement parks in the entire world.

The park offers unlimited rides and bowling and the pizza restaurants offer all-you-can-eat buffets. Outside of Germany, Tulsa hosts the biggest Oktoberfest in the world.

Knoxville, Tennessee also features some great deals for renters. For only forty dollars more than Tulsa per month a renter can obtain a one bedroom home located in the woods that is equipped with a balcony, a nearby pool, a tennis court, and a playground.

The beautiful surroundings of this location are very difficult to find elsewhere for such a fantastic price. Knoxville also has its fun quirks.

For example, Davy Crockett’s rifle, Old Betsy, lives in this town. Boating is also very popular in Knoxville and many people like to take peaceful vacations down the river.

There are many grand opportunities available to renters now because of the economic crisis, which would not have been available a few years ago. It is important that renters are aware of these opportunities and take advantage of them, before it is too late.

Hot Tips For Finding A Job In Europe

Posted in Travel  by amayco on April 30th, 2010

The formation of the European Union (EU) in particular, has made it much easier for citizens of EU countries to find work in other EU countries. In fact, if you’re such a person then you won’t need to secure a work permit before being hired for such jobs.

While it may seem like a situation of stating the obvious, you’ll first need to decide which country you’d like to work in. There are pros and cons for working in different European countries, so make sure to weigh them before choosing a particular country. You should definitely do some research about the culture of the different countries, to determine which ones you’d acclimate quickly to, and which ones would cause you to feel like a fish out of water.

Regarding the actual work in various European countries, you should consider several factors. Which jobs in various countries have the biggest demand? Is it fairly safe to travel in the different regions of the country? Do you have any friends or relatives who live in the country you’re considering? How high is the standard of living in the different European countries? It’s crucial to ask these types of questions when selecting a country to work in.

One effective method for finding work in Europe is to go on a vacation there. This is one of the best options if you can’t secure a job before your arrival. Yes, there’s a chance that you won’t be able to find a job while vacationing in Europe. But even if you can’t, at least you will have enjoyed a relaxing vacation there. If you choose this option, then it’s advisable that you travel with a companion, to make your vacationing more enjoyable.

There are tons of jobs available in Europe, but they might be more tedious than you’d prefer. That includes administrative, sales, and PR positions. However, keep in mind that such entry-level jobs could help to get your foot in door, in terms of securing a full-time position in Europe. Also, such jobs tend to pay daily or weekly, so paying your living expenses while in Europe will be significantly easier.

How can you find European jobs? While websites and agencies are effective, remember the old saying that who you know is crucial. Contacts can be extremely helpful in your European job hunt.

Finally, if you’re planning to stay in a holiday apartment while in Europe, make sure to book your apartment online. That will assure you of lodging once you arrive.

If you want to visit Europe make sure to book your holiday accommodation in advance. apartamentos vacaciones, apartamento turistico

Berlin’s Prestigious Universities and Great Apartments

Posted in Destinations  by amayco on April 30th, 2010

Studying in Europe, specifically a place like Berlin broadens your horizon and enhances intellectual and artistic aptitude.

Why Study in Berlin?

The Humboldt University in Berlin has the best Language and Humanities departments. Berlin has a number of universities, polytechnical colleges, and art schools to cater to different educational goals. Of the listed schools, it is the University of Berlin that leads — education quality-wise.

Studying in Berlin gives international students the opportunity to savor a different culture, and appreciate the arts and the development of the country. If you wish to study the language, studying in Berlin gives you ample time to learn to write and speak the language formally and as it is spoken like the locals.

Like other European countries, Berlin has gone through great technical innovations. Intellectually, Berlin has produced fine thinkers, architects, artists, and doctors. Indeed, studying in Berlin would be a great opportunity for students from all over the world. Studying in Berlin gives you a new whole perspective at the way you look at the world. That is the start of forging a career for your future.

Holiday Apartments in Berlin

Berlin is never cheap. But smart students know how to trim down their EURO expenses. Instead of staying in hotels, they rent nice holiday apartments. Living in an apartment is cheaper, too - guests can choose to cook their meals in a fully-equipped kitchenette and launder their clothes using the provided washing machines. The amenities of home are, in brief, available to students.

The nice thing about holiday apartments is their close proximity to the universities where you want to study and the things you would rather do during weekends in Berlin. Ride that plastic car for fun, hunt for vintage posters in Mauerpark, a colorful flea market; and don’t miss to see the remaining sections of the Berlin Wall for these will soon disappear on the face of the earth. Blame vandals and irresponsible tourists who want a chunk of this historic wall.

Do rent an apartment with other students. If you shoulder the rent, this would be expensive. Sharing an apartment increases your budget for other important expenses. As a student in Berlin, you have to be careful with your spending.

You don’t have to go to Berlin to look for an apartment before classes start. Simply visit websites offering a list of Berlin apartments. Take note of the address; is it near the school of your choice? Is it near the hospital and shopping centers? If the address suits you, check out the amenities - what comes with the rent. If you like the place, book your reservation online before the mob descend on Berlin for a new school year.
